William Earl Moore
November 1st, 1947 - May 18th, 2021
William Earl Moore was born November 1st, 1947 in Crockett, Texas. He was the 3rd of ten children born to William Moore Sr and Ideal Moore, both of whom preceded him in death.
William Moore attended and graduated from Phoenix, Union High School. William, always believing in the power of education and hard work went on to Job Corp in South Dakota. He took up the trade of Industrial Mechanics. Upon successful completion William returned home and went on to work for SRP: Salt River Project as a Lineman. He worked there for many years before going to work for APS: Arizona Public Service Company as a Natural Gas Technician. When APS was purchased by Southwest Gas in 1984, William studied hard each evening. He took and passed the vigorous testing administered by Southwest Gas and became an Natural Gas Area Serviceman.
William was modest although successful in education and employment. He passed his wisdom down to his children.
William like his Father before him, was an avid fisherman, loved dogs, and loved sitting out in the sunshine.
He also deeply enjoyed a few scratch lottery tickets, win or lose they made his day.
William being honorable, proposed to and married Ada ( Monique) Moore after his return from South Dakota.
This union in Holy Matrimony brought William such joy, and eventually brought a total of four children. He was a proud and loving Father of: Robert of Oklahoma, Precilla of Phoenix, Phillip of Phoenix, and Lawanna of Illinois.
Much later in life he met and married Charmetria who had three children, two of whom were adults. William spent time with youngest child Laporsha, and together they formed a loving Father-Daughter bond.
William Earl Moore was called home on May 18th, 2021. His “Babygirl “ Lawanna (Illinois) was with him via FaceTime, eye to eye. He fought enough to give her a final “I love you too” and then left this life.
William was preceded in death by his father William Moore Sr., his mother Ideal Moore, sister Maudie Moore, brother Carl Moore Sr., brother Larry Moore Sr., granddaughter Tykiva Dreams, and grandson Phillip Earl Reyes.
William leaves to cherish his memories three brothers: Cheyenne Moore, Dewayne Moore, and Robert Moore. Three sisters: Lorraine Moore, Charlene Thompson, and Rosemary Moore. His Children: Robert, Precilla, Phillip, Lawanna and Stepdaughter Laporscha. William also leaves to cherish his memories 22 grandchildren, a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.
