Ursula Ida Wagner
January 6, 1929–June 11, 2020
Ursula Ida Wagner, age 91, passed away on June 11, 2020. She was born January 6, 1929 in Germany to Augustus and Ida Fox. She grew up in the country along with her three siblings, Heinz, Erich and Gerda. She met and married, Karl Adam Wagner, in 1961 and moved to the United States from Germany. Karl Wagner preceded her in death in April 4, 1997.
Ursula loved her entire family, her children, grandchildren and all animals. She regularly brought gifts to her grandchildren and treats for her grand-dogs. Everyone including the dogs could hear her pull into the driveway and were waiting at the door to greet her. Rarely was it that she sat still and she was a busy homemaker, cooking and caring for her family. She loved to knit and crochet, babysat for neighbor children and cared for other aging friends.
Ursula was very active with her duties at The German Central Farm in North Royalton where she regularly volunteered for Friday Fish Fries, Octoberfests and Christmas parties by cooking or baking. Karl and Ursula were members of GBU, they attended monthly meetings together, volunteered and attended social gatherings with the other members of GBU. She was also an attender at Saint John Bosco Church in Parma Heights, Ohio.
Ursula is survived by her sister Gerda Baumeister and sister-in-law Matilda Fox; her son, Harry Wagner and daughter-in-law Tina Wagner; her daughter Ellie George and son-in-law Jim George; Karl’s son Sebastian Wagner and his wife Anni Wagner and their daughter AnnMarie; her grandchildren, Sydney Wakefield and Nicholas Wagner and Sydney’s husband Andrew Wakefield. All of these she loved and touched deeply.
Ursula was a regular giver to causes she had passion for, so in lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the ASPCA, American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals® (www.aspca.org).
