Delores C Whitmyer, Phoenix, AZ, age 83 died peacefully surrounded by her family on November 7, 2019 at Desert Garden Assisted Living. She was born March 8, 1936 in Janesville, WI. Daughter of Loren Ross Clark and Myrtle (Fischer) Clark.
Dee graduated in 1954 from Janesville High School. She married her high school sweetheart John Whitmyer on September 11, 1954 in Janesville, WI. They settled in Madison, WI in 1963 and later moved to Monona, WI in 1965. Dee retired from WPS Insurance and moved to Phoenix, AZ in 1996.
She enjoyed spending her time researching genealogy. She was able to give a gift of closure to several friends and family members on their family history. Dee was known for her sharp wit along with her special one-of-a kind sense of humor.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband John Whitmyer in 1992 and her brother William (Bill) Clark. Dee is survived by daughters Vicky (Phil) Elleray, Gayle (Gary) Usinger, Cindy (Jon) Powell and son Jon (Kim) Whitmyer all of Phoenix, AZ. Grandchildren Eric (Andrea) Parpart, Jaime Parpart, Beth (Phil) Jackson, Brad, Brian and Lindsey Powell, Nathan and Brett Whitmyer all of Phoenix, AZ and Becky Adams, Indianapolis, IN. In addition, 6 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by brother Loren (Martha) Clark, Naples, FL and sister Judy (Dennis) Schoeberle, Janesville, WI, along with many nieces and nephews.
Celebration of Life will be held in Phoenix, AZ November 16, 2019. And in Janesville, WI January 4, 2020, with location to be determined.
