Daniel Votava, 66 of Mesa, Arizona, went to be with his Lord on July 20, 2019 at his home, surrounded by his family, after a long battle of illnesses.
Daniel was the son of Mildred (Marquardt) DeRosier and Frank Votava Sr. After serving in the U.S. Navy, he left Wisconsin traveling to Wyoming and settling in Texas. Dan was an accomplished carpenter, loved to garden, cook, fish, hunt, and camp. He was a lifelong supporter of the Green Bay Packers. Above all he enjoyed spending time with his family.
Dan is survived by his wife Vivian of 30 years, daughter Alicia, grandson Daniel, parents Mildred DeRosier and step-father Rollie DeRosier, four siblings Frank Votava Jr (Kathy), Michael Votava (Renee), Sandra Deichelbor (Bob), Timothy Votava (Betty), and many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
Memorial services will be held July 27, 2019 at Mountain View Lutheran Church in Apache Junction, Arizona at 11:30 A.M. with luncheon to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations will be used to support a friend currently battling cancer. Additional services will be held in Wisconsin at a later date.
