Charles Ray Abbs

Born July 7, 1935 to Henry D. Abbs and Uelisa Moore in Crockett, Texas. However, in early childhood his father passed. Uelisa later met and married Walter Fancy ofwhom became a devoted husband and father. Charles at a young age gave his life to Christ.

Charles attended Dunbar Mary Bethune and Carver High school. He later met and married Willie Lee Johnson to them eight children were born: Charlotte, Ricky, Carolyn, Angelia, Marvin, Anthony, Lorri, and Sharon. Charles later met and married Chryl Steverson to them two children were born Chryriece, Charles II and became a loving devoted father to children Wayne II, Lamont Sr., and Earnest (Dion).

Charles retired from Roosevelt school district. He loved gardening, Hunting, fishing, raising horses and other animals. Charles enjoyed going to the casino’s but most of all he loved his family and enjoyed being with them.

Charles is survived by his wife Chryl Abbs. Children: Charlotte, David, Ricky, Marie, Carolyn, Angelia, Marvin, Anthony, Lorie, Sharon, Charles II, Wayne, Falen, and Lamont Sr. Sisters: Joanne, and Cassandra. 100 grand children and great grand children.

Charles was preceded in death by parents Henry Abbs, Walter and Uelisa Fancy. Sisters Mattie Jean, Virginia. His daughter Chryriece, and his son Earnest (Dion).

Charles will be greatly missed by his 100 grand children and great grand children. Daughters in Love, sons in love, nieces, nephews, and a host of relatives and friends.
