Set Aside Prayer

God, please help me set aside everything I think I know about myself, my addiction, the steps, the fellowship and especially you; for an open mind and a new experience with myself, my addictions, the steps, the fellowship and especially You.

"My mother was a shining beacon of light anytime she entered a room. She filled everyone she ran into with happiness and joy. Her demons didn’t define who she was but those who were close knew of them. She was never coy about her struggles with addiction but she used that to preach hope to others who were struggling or making others aware of there own demons. If she felt for you, you knew about it. If she loved you, you knew without question that it was unconditional. My mother was a special person and one of a kind. Her memory will live on in all those she loved dearly."
