Joann Kinne passed away on December 22, 2018, under Hospice Care in Tempe, AZ, surrounded by family and friends. She was born May 1, 1936 to Alfred and Luella Schadendorf in Ledyard, Iowa and graduated from Lone Rock High School. Joann transcribed for the blind and helped with the development of what we now call Exceptional Opportunities, which is a residence for the developmentally disabled. She was always willing to lend a hand to a worthy cause. She was active in all church functions and activities and especially enjoyed being a Sunday School teacher. One of her passions was singing and she was a member of Sweet Adelines. She enjoyed bowling, golfing and dancing and was a member of a square-dancing group. However, her greatest joy was being a mother to her six children. Joann resided in Arizona for the past 30 years and was employed by Anozira Door Systems and the Mesa Public School District where she was an Audiology Technician. While in Arizona, she gathered a multitude of friends from her church, community and work.
