John Coleman

John Coleman 86 passed away peacefully at home on March 20, 2024. John was born and raised in Soddy, Tennessee and throughout his life, he remained deeply connected to his roots in the heart of East Tennessee.

John leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion as a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

He is survived by: wife Ruby, children Gretchen Keefe (Rick) Kimberly Key, Six grandchildren, Josh (Jennifer) Samantha (Michael) Oshi (Mitchell) Shinji (Joscelyn), Keegan (Angie) and Kenly and 4 great grandchildren..

He was proceeded in death by: his parents Marvin and Mary Agnes Coleman, brother Stan Coleman, daughter Stacey Massengale and great grand daughter Micko.

Renowned for his captivating storytelling. John had a knack for weaving tales that held listeners spellbound. Whether recounting his upbringing in East Tennessee or sharing anecdotes from his time in the military, he had an uncanny ability to keep those around enthralled with his words.

But beyond his storytelling prowess,, John was defined by the kindness of his heart. Always quick to lend a helping hand to those in need, he exemplified compassion in all aspects of his life. His love for his fellow man was surpassed only by his devotion to the Lord, his beloved wife and his cherished family.

In his leisure time, John found solace in the pages of espionage novels and the study of the Bible, nurturing his mind and spirit with equal fervor.

As we bid farewell to John, we take comfort in knowing that his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who were touched by his kindness, warmth and wisdom. May he rest in peace, knowing that he leaves behind a legacy of love that will endure for generations to come
