Ruth E. Schnell, 83, of Mesa, Arizona, died Monday, July 31, 2017 at the Tang Assisted Living in Tempe, Arizona from Alzheimer’s .   
Ruth was born in Vevay, Indiana, September 29, 1933 to Edward and Leo Haskell Tharp.  She was married for over 20 years and had three children.  She was a kind a generous person.   She was also a loving and supportive mother. 
Survivors include her daughters, Mary (Cecil) Franklin of Mesa, Arizona and Teresa Schnell of Phoenix, Arizona; grandchildren, Tania Franklin, Teresa Franklin, Adam Franklin and Darnell Franklin and Benjamin Schnell; 6 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Naomi Beatty.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, John Schnell; brother, Joseph Tharp and sisters, Mary Elizabeth Fowler and Esther Tharp.
