Robert Craig Reed

Reed, Robert C, age 59 of Phoenix,AZ passed away unexpectedly on Jan 19,2018 in his residence. He was the beloved son of the late Carol J Reed,(Birmingham AL.) and the late James E Reed,(Denver,CO);  as well as caring brother to the late James E Reed Jr,(Birmingham,AL). Robert is also survived by loving family members in Southeastern Wisconsin and Lake County Illinois; and his best friend Craig Workinger ( Spring Grove, Illinois).
As a graduate of the Chicago City Colleges, (Daley College), and the American Airlines Maintenance Academy; Robert obtained his AAS and Power Plant certification in Aviation Mechanics. Robert was employed by United Airlines as an A/P Mechanic Inspector and stationed in Chicago, IL, Oakland, CA and San Francisco,Ca.  In Jan.2006, Robert joined Evergreen Aviation, in Marana AZ  as an A/P Mechanic Inspector, until he had to retire due to illness in 2011.
Robert is survived by his wife  and companion for over 30 years Kristine, and his daughter Kaitlin Elisabeth,(Joseph King), Phoenix,AZ, He was a devoted and faithful companion to the family's 7 cats; and an adoring "grandpa" to Jackson and Porter. The best times of Robert's life was when he was at ice rinks watching his daughter Kaitlin practicing or competing at various USFSA figure skating competitions.
At Robert's request, he will be cremated and his ashes divided between his wife and daughter. There will be no scheduled visitation.
